Sorry I did not make it to your funeral Brother. The dream you visited me in, was just the healing I needed. Thanks for all the memories my true friend. When ever I need my faith restored in humanity, I think of you.

Dan,
Tears have blurred my eyes as I turn pages through your mom's book. Remembering emotions that were felt during what feels like a lifetime ago. As I read, I feel this irrepressible urge to say that I look forward to seeing you and talking to you one day again. I danced Dan...you would have been proud :) I danced for several reasons, one of them being that I finally have gained the insight you so badly wanted for me. I wish I could tell you now, here. I'll tell you all about it someday. I still have the pickle jar lid you gave me...I pulled it out and cried. I'm not sure you ever knew how much to gave to me. I didn't know either, until now. Thank you, for everything.
Alice.

Jan - just wanted to let you know that I finished your book. What a marvelous book and an amazing memorial to your very talented son. Some one posted this on Facebook today and I immediately thought of Dan when I read it - it is a quote from Erma Bombeck - "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'" I think if anyone embodied that sentiment it had to be Dan. Thanks again for the book and you and your family are in my prayers. God Bless!!

Thinking of Dan today. Sad as it may be, his memory always makes me smile, and I know that is how he would want it to be.

I was just singing"I want you to dance" Haven't sung it for awhile.Such a beautiful song and so annointed. Our daughter Michelle(6yrsold) is with the Lord, where she has been since 2003 and we were so blessed by that song at her funeral. We danced Hokey Pokey as it was her fav dance. Dan's music lives on and those of us who have been blessed enough to hear it,who have been touched by it, who have received hope through it are truly blessed indeed.Thank you Lord for creating this young man and for him being obediant and writing this song to help those of us who need to hear it at a critical time in our lives.

Dan, I love you.
Only three words.
But they are strong.
Just like you were.

Dan,
Just yesterday I was telling a friend about a few remembrances of your life and music; how you always gave to others. My friend cried.

Tomorrow will be seven years,
can scarcely believe
the words my ears..
are taking in.

There are no words...

Always,
Dad

I've got to free my whole body, free my whole body
And throw myself into the Dead Sea.
Free my whole body, free my whole body
And let the sky alone remember me

I lit today a light of candle Dan, and almost whole evening listened to your music. I told once again this story to my wife and daughter. We were very close in our thoughts. Be remembered Dan. Friendly words from Poland.

I come to this website when I need time for myself to reflect or just to hear a good song.
Reading family posts and feeling what they are feeling warms my heart and I end up passing HOURS when I only meant to listen to "Dance at my Funeral"
I see each and every one of my family members in Dan's face. So wonderful for bringing back memories.
I think tonight is a Dan night, I'm breaking out the wine, the candles a good book and 'Beggars and Kings' in the background :)

Dan spent a lot of time with my sweet daughter Janette and together they sang and talked/shared and talked some more. They were very close and had a lot in common.
Dan even wrote a special poem for me after my cancer surgery. He had insight far greater than any others his age.
The memories are vivid and precious and I'll treasure them forever.
I feel honoured and priveleged to have known him even for just part of his short but "full" life.

Dan, I wish we could have had more time together. I wish you could be here with me, and see me growing up. I hope you still can. You continue to inspire me to be a better person. You showed me what's important in life. You always supported me, and pushed me to pursue my dreams. You always believed in me. I thank you for everything you've taught me, just by being yourself. I miss you. I love you.

Jan, thank you for this website. It has taught me so much about him.

Dan - I miss you in my life. I think of you often. Thank you for your music because sometimes I just feel the need to hear your voice. It is so odd but there is something about my oldest son that reminds me of you when we were young. I can't put my finger on it but it just feels so familar to watch him sometimes...it's just like I'm watching you. I know it seems weird but everytime it happens I laugh as vivid memories flood back to my mind. What fun we had! I love you and will cherish those memories always. Jess

I think I can design small amateur fan-site in memory of Dan in Polish language. If so, I will be glad if you contact me and tell me what you think about such idea, and if you agree - please help with collecting most important facts about him. Of course I will do this for free ;)

February 28, 2009

Well, I don't know how to say this. I listened to the music, I fell in love with it and I started to read bio. I found notice that 6. Dec 2002 Dan went to see another Lands and Kingdoms. I feel such emptiness. Well, his music is worth of small propagating it in my country - Poland. I'm gonna leave some post in few web-places, I hope some people follow my steps and come here at this site to write about their feelings. Jordan, man, Jordan...

Adam Emanuel

February 28, 2009

Hallo from Poland. I am really impressed with your music. First of all, I see you don't look at others, you do your way, and you are original artist. The Second I see you deeply create MESSAGE and put into your music. I like sound of your voice, and your thinking about music. I will waiting for your next moves, because your music is worth of that. I send you greeting and words of trust that you create next such unique songs. i believe you can do that and you find inspiration from the world to sign our time with your art.

Dear Family of Dan,
I've just spent a while looking at your website and grieving with your hearts as you continue to miss Dan. There is nothing harder than being separated by death. Well, yes there is....and that would be if your loved one did not know God. We rejoice with you in the fact that your Dan loved God and celebrates eternity with Him.
In Christ,

Sometimes when I am hanging out with my friends on the streets of London, someone will join us with their guitar. They share their songs. We all share a coffee. And then, they move on to share their voice with others. And I'm reminded of Dan; his voice, his gift, his love...and hear the echo of his music on the streets. What a blessing!

Your son's page is beautiful. I cryed while reading everything you wrote about him. And as I read about his last days it brought back the last days of my daughter Danielle who passed away on March 26, 1998 from Glioblastsoma Muliform Stage 4. How I HATE this damn cancer. I take my hat off to you his mom and the rest of the faimly. Be safe be careful. And may all our anlge fly forever and keep us safe. Toni.... Danielles mom.

Thank you for including us when sending this website about Dan - a very extraordinary young man. I enjoyed looking over this well done website and I now feel like I know Dan better. I especially enjoyed all the pictures. (How cool that the kite was sent special delivery :) to your tree on Easter Sunday!) I can't even imagine the pain those closest to Dan have gone through in losing this special young man, but what a tribute this website is to him. I look forward to hearing more of Dan's songs and stories directly from him someday in heaven. Love, Belinda

It is so extraordinary that you have been able to create this site so Dan may live on here and touch people on the Earth Plane. It is absolutely true for me that music and the expressive arts bring us closer to the Divine. I write you with tears in my eyes and truth in my heart for this blessing you are giving the world, as a compatriot on the brain tumor journey and a fellow artist. I wish you and your family peace, joyous memories and continued blessings as you each continue your own journeys here on the Earth plane. Love love love to you! Samantha www.samanthajane.us

Hi Jan and Jesse:
Just a few moments ago I finished browsing the new website and let me say you did an absolutely amazing job with it! The web pages load fast and they present his story well with storyline, testamonials, and pictures -- most impressive! I'm sure Dan would be pleased and proud of both of you for honouring his memory in such a way. A mother's love for her child shines through!

Blessings,
