Strangers and Angels

Strangers and Angels

I’ve been traveling this countryside for days
I’ve seen countless strangers and angels
lost in the haze.
My mind is tired and my teeth are torn
And my body needs to be cleaned
My bones are bruised
And my heart is sweating bullets of memories
Bullets of memories

Once when I was younger, smarter, more alive,
This field seemed to hold more flowers
I stop to stare and I can’t count five
I’ve been eveyone, I've been everywhere on this earth by now
Yeah, I’ve heard your voice through midnight cathedral choirs, so free and alive

I've got to free my whole body, free my whole body
And throw myself into the Dead Sea.
Free my whole body, free my whole body
And let the sky alone remember me
Stranger and angels
strangers and angels

Sundial of the world pointing its way to freedom
Sundial through the shadows and songs of
reasonless seasons
I fall breathless again
caught up by your hypnotized breathing
Let go of it all, breathe out, rise up, rise up to free the new season

I need to free my whole body, free my whole body
And throw myself into the Red Sea.
Free my whole body, free my whole body
And let the silence remember me
Let it remember me
Let it remember me

Strangers and angels, strangers and angels
